FROM FRESH FLORALS TO FOREVER ART

The Floral Preservation Process

After

Before:

Whether you’re planning your dream wedding on the Outer Banks, sending an air-dried bouquet from afar, or honoring a loved one with a meaningful keepsake, our process is designed to be easy, intentional, and worry-free. Every step - from pickup to drying to resin casting - is handled with care so your flowers are preserved at their very best.

Our Approach

Here’s the step-by-step breakdown of what it looks like to work with us.

  • Step 1: Choose Your Pieces

Start by selecting the artwork you want. Start with a Featured Item (like an arch floral block or end table), then add as many Add-On Items as you'd like. All orders must meet our $250 booking minimum, which can be reached through one large piece or a combination of smaller ones.

  • Step 2: Reserve Your Date

Our calendar fills quickly, so we recommend sending us an inquiry & reserving your date as soon as you’ve booked your main vendors. Because we limit weekly bookings, reserving early prevents late fees and ensures we can accept your flowers. We cannot always accommodate last minute or post-event bookings, so plan accordingly!

  • Step 3: Flower Pickup or Shipment

If your event is in Southern Shores, Kitty Hawk, Kill Devil Hills, or Nags Head, you may qualify for free pickup. For all other areas, we charge a small pickup fee. Or, we will provide detailed instructions for shipping fresh flowers from far away or previously air-dried bouquets.

  • Step 4: Drying + Preservation

When we receive your flowers, we begin the preservation process immediately. Your flowers are trimmed, prepped, and professionally dried to capture as much shape and color as possible.

DISCLAIMER: Please be aware that some flowers will change color significantly when they are dry, this is just a factor of nature that we cannot control. However, we do our best to select the blooms that dried in the best possible condition, for your designs.

  • Step 5: Design + Creation

Using your wedding gallery for reference, we arrange your dried blooms into your selected pieces. Every petal is placed with intention before resin is poured slowly, layer by layer, for maximum clarity and durability.

  • Step 6: Delivery

Once everything is complete, your pieces are carefully wrapped and shipped right to your door. You’ll receive a tracking number and detailed care instructions to help your artwork age gracefully over time.

Please note: Standard turnaround time for each order is 4-6 months.

FAQS

The most common questions we receive

  • Once we receive your floral submission, whether this is the bridal bouquet, a bridesmaids bouquet, boutonnieres, or centerpiece elements; the preservation process officially begins! Your flowers will be separated from the stems, organized, and then immediately worked into the drying process. Once your flowers are completely dried, we then get busy creating the pieces you selected from our site based off of your wedding photos! Once the resin has a chance to completely solidify, we package up your order and ship it out to you!

Please remember to share the link to your gallery with us so we have a perfect reference for your designs!

  • Short Answer? ASAP!

As soon as you have booked your VIP vendors, you should reach out to us to reserve your desired date! We have a limited number of spaces available per week. You don’t want to wait until the last minute to book your floral preservation, as someone else may be planning their event on the same day at another location!

Plus, any couples that wait to book our services less than 10 business days in advance of the event date are subject to a Rush Booking Fee. This fee also applies to orders that are placed after the event has already happened.

  • Due to high demand, we have a $250 booking minimum. To simplify this, clients must choose a Featured Piece before they can choose from the Add On Items. Or, you can select a larger quantity of Add On Items that would satisfy the booking minimum.

Any inquiries received less than 10 business days before your event date are subject to a Rush Booking Fee. This is to cover a rush shipment of materials needed to take proper care of your flowers on short notice. We always recommend reserving your date with us in advance to avoid this fee! We love having the opportunity to save the bouquet if you forgot to book in advance.

HOWEVER, we can't guarantee our availability for last minute bookings, so please plan accordingly! We are happy to communicate with your wedding coordinator, parents, or other vendors to make this process as easy and stress free as possible. No artwork will be released/shipped until all final deposits have been received. Payment plans are available upon request.

  • Yes! We recommend reserving your date with us as early as possible during the planning process. We will coordinate scheduling your flower pickup on the same day as your event when possible. This way, your flowers are as fresh and perky as possible as they enter into the preservation process.

If you would prefer to hold on to your flowers overnight, or well past the normal run time of a wedding reception, we can schedule a pickup for the following day. Just keep in mind that you want your flowers to be in the best condition possible. The better they look going into the preservation process, the better they look coming out!

  • To make this process as easy as possible for our clients, some locations are eligible for free pickup! If your event location is located in Southern Shores, Kitty Hawk, Kill Devil Hills, or Nags Head; we will schedule a pickup time/date that works best for you!

Any events located north or south of the towns listed above will be subject to a small pickup fee.

  • Typically, about 6 months! Each order is unique. Sometimes the timeline varies depending on the amount of pieces per order, amount of flowers submitted, etc. But, we try to get your order shipped to you within 6 months from the day we receive your flowers.

If there are any delays or changes in estimated shipping dates, we will notify you as soon as possible to keep you in the loop!

  • Our epoxy is very high quality and uses UV and heat resistant technology. This will slow the progression of your floral blocks turning yellow. However, all resin art turns yellow over time, giving it a true vintage look in the years to come.

  • Absolutely! We love surprises! We can coordinate preserving any event flowers (not just the bride's bouquet) as a secret order on your behalf, whether the wedding party wants to go in on something as a group gift or if you just want to wow the couple with a little post-wedding surprise. This is a fun way to invest in a truly sentimental, one-of-a-kind gift for your newlywed friends or family members. If you would prefer to just purchase a gift card - we will reach out to you to ask a few event related questions. So, please make sure you enter your contact info correctly!

Our coasters, bottle openers and wine bottle toppers are also great gifts for family members and members of the wedding party, too.

When it’s time to place your order, we can discuss shipping options and other additional details we may need to know to keep the extra special surprise a secret.
